    Hall’s Windows and Doors has been paid in full for our project which started Sept 2024. Since full payment we have been brushed off about our ThermaTru door hardware arriving and being installed in the wrong color, and have yet to hear from Hall’s about replacing our sidelight French door screens that do not fit. We worked with Rob during our whole installation. Since installation we have so far been happy with our windows (hence more than one star) but our doors are catching and not closing properly, door hardware and weather stripping is still the wrong color - (bronze instead of black on black doors) and frankly I don’t have any faith at this point they will...read full review

    I selected Milgard based on the price, quality, and style. All the windows in my house were replaced with Milgard on August 4, 2024. After the installation, I noticed blemishes on two of the windows (dimple in one glass, a scratch in the other), and my initial reaction was that Milgard's quality control standards are not so good. I contacted Milgard customer service to schedule the windows repair/ replacement. I sent photos and made it clear that one of the windows is on the 2nd floor. They said the earliest date a technician could come out was September 23, 2024. I expected Milgard to come sooner but I didn't complain. The service day finally arrived on September 23, 2024. The time window for the technician to arrive was 12:45pm to 2:45pm. There was a lot going on inside the house with contractors doing all sorts of work, and I was busy cleaning out the backyard area. I missed the phone calls from the service technician, until finally, I realized I missed the calls and picked up. I went out the front door and I saw his truck parked in front of my house. When I walked up to him, I could tell he was annoyed. He said that he's not sure he could do my job because I did not pick up my phone and now there wasn't enough time. By this time it was maybe 1:15pm. I told him that he was still in the time window of arrival that Milgard provided to me so I didn't understand the problem. He said he didn't care what Milgard told me (the customer). He only cared about his window of time. I asked him why he didn't ring the doorbell, but he said he couldn't find my house, which seemed strange because he was parked right in front of it. After the not-so-pleasant introduction, the technician and I walked towards the house. I pointed out one of the windows-the upstairs window-that needed replacement. He immediately said that he could not replace that window because it would require at least two technicians (he came alone). By this point, I was frustrated. I had bought all brand new windows, two of the windows were defective, I had waited about 2 months to get the windows replaced, Milgard then sent out a rude service technician who doesn't care about the customer, and now he tells me that he's not able to do the job. Out of my frustration, I raised my voice and said some expletives, but I made it clear to him that it was nothing personal towards him, but that I was frustrated about my entire experience with Milgard. Well, the technician took it personally, refused to do the job, and drove away. The name of the Milgard service technician is Manuel. I immediately called Milgard customer service to file a complaint against Manuel and to reschedule service. The customer service representative on the phone was excellent. He listened carefully to my situation, listened to my frustration, made note of my complaint, and was proactive in trying to help me schedule service as soon as possible. He was able to schedule service only one week out on September 30, 2024, and he said he would make sure that I get a different technician. On September 30, 2024, the Milgard service technicians arrived, rang the doorbell, and did an excellent job. I am pleased with the final outcome. However, it does not make up for the multiple points of frustration along the way.

    Rebuilt house in 2014; very VERY expensive Milgaard Windows all around. Now needing service on 3. CANNOT GET THEM TO RESPOND TO SAVE MY LIFE!!! FInally after 6 months a newly minted service person came out to look. (Stalling tactic IMHO) Sed company will get back to us in 5 days. THAT WAS 6 WEEKS AGO! It is my suspicion their windows are keeping the service department so busy they can't fix ours! DO NOT BUY MILGAARD WINDOWS! (Have to leave a star to be posted but would rather not.)
