Gus Stanko's Paving

Gus Stanko is an awesome guy and he knows exactly what he's doing when it comes to asphalt paving. If you're looking for someone who will give you a fair deal and do good work, you've found it in Gus. In 2006 I had my house remodeled inside and out. I had a gravel driveway. I got several estimates from different asphalt companies and settled on Gus Stanko to do the job. My driveway is about 118 feet long and 16 feet wide (in some places it's even wider), so it isn't your usual run-of-the-mill driveway. They did an excellent job laying the asphalt back then and Gus told me I should call him and have it sealed in about eight months. Fast forward to 2017. I needed my driveway repaired and sealed (I had never called Gus). Well, I went online and contacted six or seven paving companies, leaving messages and talking to a couple of people who promised that someone would get back to me. I also found Gus Stanko's number in my phone after all these years, so I gave him a call. I didn't even know if he was still in business. The next day I got a call from Gus! I told him he had done my driveway back in 2006 and he said he'd come out to give it a look and give me an estimate. He came out and I immediately remembered why I liked him. He's a great, down to earth guy. He talks straight and gives you a fair deal. He tells you exactly what he can do; he doesn't overpromise. Now this is a little hard to admit because you should never take the first estimate you get, but I told him to come and do the job. He rearranged his schedule to do it for me in the morning so I could park my cars on my driveway that evening. He had a crew of three workers and he supervised them closely, making sure they did things correctly. I really appreciated that. My driveway looks great and I'm very happy with the work they did. Now that I know how asphalt sealing works, I'm going to have them come out next year and do it again. By the way, only two of the companies I contacted ever called me, and it was after Gus had already done the work for me. Thanks, Gus!
