The center accommodated our group of 40+ at very reasonable cost and the food was very good! Rooms were comfy. The location was perfect for a bunch of naturalists to access nearby natural areas and biodiversity. The only thing I would have changed is to add an indoor common room to gather cuz it was late in the year and a little chilly outside at night. But I feel if we had asked for that Pneuma would have worked something out for us
I had a mixed experience here.
The bathhouse is a good deal for the price.
However, I received no warning that people with sensitive skin should be careful in the mineral bath. All I was told was that it was strong.
Because of that my skin got really irritated and I had a lot of red marks which lasted for a while.
But the sauna and spring was great.
The hotel rooms are a bad deal. They’re expensive for what you get and have a Spartan interior. Except for a liquid soap dispenser and towels there are literally no other commodities in these rooms.

Pneuma Retreat Center is located near the sacred mountain of Shasta, California, making it a unique retreat. Everything its natural setting offers is magical: the mountains, the forest, the river, the flora, and the fauna make it unique. The service is excellent, and it's the perfect destination to connect with your spirit and escape the hustle and bustle of the city. A unique and magical place. I give it five stars!
