I've got moderate psoriasis. More than ten years ago and my dermatologist suggested I try a tanning salon for help controlling my symptoms. Psoriasis is an auto immune disorder and there's lots of drugs available to threat it. They're advertised on TV every night. However all those drugs basically work the same way, by damaging the immune system, mostly the T cells and there's many potential side effects. For moderate to severe psoriasis the drugs are probably a good option, but there's real risks. Before modern drugs, the only way to control psoriasis was by exposure to UV rays. Dermatologists still offer UV treatments in their clinics. UVB rays are the most helpful for psoriasis. At Rio Tanning I use a bed that has 70% UVA rays and 30%UVB rays. I recently had my yearly checkup with my dermatologist and he confirmed that for this is the best way for me to treat my psoriasis. Rio Tanning is a clean pleasant place to spend a few minutes and I look better with a tan. Greg95076
