I have been working with Karina, specialist in outward funerals to Mexico, at Mehl’s Colonial Chapel to coordinate my brother’s funeral; she is nothing short of fantastic. We planned to have a viewing on site, transport of my brother to my hometown in Mexico and another viewing there along with a burial.
The viewing at Mehl’s was very welcoming and accommodating. Another employee, Ofelia, stayed with us until closing and was constantly checking in and making accommodations as needed. For example, she would bring extra vases and stands for every single bouquet of flowers brought by visitors. She made every adjustment as needed and asked.

Despite the pain of the loss of a loved one, the attention provided by the professional team at the Mehl's funeral home was wonderful. I am grateful for the attention of their entire team, especially Karina Carrillo, who was very present throughout the entire process and service of my husband. . Thank you so much.

Really lacking in customer service during a time when empathy and compassion are most necessary. One of the owners walked in while we were planning the funeral services for our dad, looked at us, spoke to the person helping us then walked out with no greeting and no apology for interrupting. During the actual services there was only one person their who could not answer our questions and took no active roll in guiding the service. We were there virtually alone, grieving and no one to guide the service, direct musicians, handle technology, etc. the memory cards were forgotten and given to us almost 2 weeks later when they finally called us to pick up dad's ashes. There was also an unreasonable delay in the actual cremation--something that grieved the family unnecessarily.
