This company was hired by Monterey Peninsula Sheet Metal and Heating to cover their shoddy HVAC work at my house by providing a false HERS (duct leakage) test result. (It is strange that an HVAC company is doing a HERS test for another HVAC company in the first place.) 831 Conserve tested the HVAC system for only 5 seconds, and then gave MPSH a pass. Later we found out that the furnace and the plenum right under it were not sealed at all, as well as some registers in the house. I hired a CHEERS-certified HERS rater to do a real test, which confirmed the lack of proper seal.
