I earned my First Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo in my early 20s in Northern California. Years later after marriage and kids I enrolled my son, and later my daughter in Master An’s Dojang in Vista. He is phenomenal with children, teaching them discipline and respect while making class fun for them. Both my children earned their black belts with Master An. Our family has been part of An's Taekwondo community for 6 years and we recommend this studio so highly. Master An has created an environment where respect is shown to all students and instructors no matter their age, athleticism, or belt rank. Master An teaches with firm kindness and is incredibly adept at adapting his instruction to match the age and ability of his students. The entire community provides such a welcoming and supportive structure for all who practice taekwondo at this studio. My daughter has been with An's Taekwondo for 4 years. We moved here from out of state, with my daughter already having her first degree black belt already. We checked out several other martial arts locations in neighboring towns. An's most closely matched the style that my daughter had been practicing. It was also the place where my daughter felt she would get the coaching she wanted.An's pivoted well during the pandemic, offering a variety of options to continue practice.
