This place is a great place to get a haircut. Every location that I've been to has been very relaxed, friendly, and full of knowledgeable barbers. The only thing critical that I could say about it is that it is a bit pricey, but let's be honest, it's your hair. You get what you pay for. They do a great haircut, and you can pretty much get any style that you want. I would recommend this to anyone who cares about their appearance. And I'm definitely coming back.
After a train wreck of an experience at a popular mass market retail salon franchise chain, I needed help. So, with a quiet sense of desperation driven by the fact that I would be traveling overseas the next day, I booked the first available spot online for Sunday morning. I was so disconcerted by the bad cut (it made me look like I had just been released from prison, and I was worried I no longer resembled my passport photo) that I brought my wife with me for moral support in case the folks at Manly & Son would just shrug and tell me there was nothing they could do for me. But as soon as we walked into their welcoming environment and were warmly greeted by Ernesto, the prospects for the day looked markedly brighter. Thus began "Extreme Makeover, Barbershop Edition." It took some doing, but with patience and an expert touch, Ernesto worked his magic all to a smooth, memorable playlist that only enhanced the experience. In the end, the damage was miraculously undone and I was both relieved and delighted at his artistry. We thanked him for his hospitality, genuine empathy and professionalism. All in all, 30 minutes in the chair restored my faith in a world that too often appears uncaring and chaotic. ¡Mil Gracias y Viva!
Ernesto definitely knows what he is doing. I've been going to him for 12+ years because he always gets my hair right. Every time. Parking is easy. The vibe is chill. The service is always professional. I consider myself lucky to have him as my go-to barber in LA.
