    A recently learned of the concept of "A Third Place." Coined by Ray Oldenberg, it's a social environment that is not home (first place) and not work (second place). He identified key characteristics of all third places. "They are on neutral ground and promote social equity by leveling the status of guests. Conversation is the main activity and the mood is playful. Strangers are welcome, and there are regulars who feel a piece of themselves is rooted in the space.     William Kim’sTaekwondo has been an amazing experience for our son! We started a little over a year ago and thought we would take things as they come and one day at a time.

    It turned out that we found a wonderful community with a true family feel, and at the same time the structure and discipline needed for the sport. The instructors are so very helpful and knowledgeable and tuned into each individual student and their abilities.

    My brother took lessons here over 25 years ago and we had the same experience back then! The quality and structure has remained strong and we are so grateful for William Kim’s Taekwondo!

    We started attending William Kim’s Tae Kwon Do about 5 months ago, and it’s truly one of the best decisions we’ve made for our daughter. In this short time, she has learned so much, not just in martial arts, but in discipline, respect, and striving toward her goals. She’s also made wonderful friends and looks forward to every class.

    The instructors here genuinely care about each student. They make sure techniques are taught properly and encourage every child to grow. Grandmaster Kim himself takes the time to ensure students have the right posture and technique, which shows how invested they are in teaching Tae Kwon Do the right way.
