This place is getting worse through the years. I have two insurances: Medicare and Anthem Blue Cross. And I still get charged only to get my prescriptions over the phone. I don’t know what is going on with insurances these days but they need to cover us at least when we don’t have procedures. I have an appointment today and Cristy and Vanessa called me from Universal Pain Management telling me that my card wasn’t charged last month because it was declined. I have been out of the country and the bank had to put a hold on my visa just in case since I didn’t intend to use it until coming back. So that’s why they didn’t get the payments. Dr. Ruth Pinter all the way! UPM Valencia has been, by far, the best pain management facility I've been to. This is because of my doctor there, Ruth Pinter. She has helped me in so many ways, even beyond pain management. She has gone above and beyond for me, and she truly genuinely CARES about her patients! I also have to accredit her for figuring out some new health problems, long before my other doctors did, whereas these countless doctors and specialists strung me along for months, clueless as to what was wrong with me. Coming In I didn't have high hopes in finding proper pain management due to previous experiences elsewhere dealing with uncommon conditions. But Dr. Kohan really does try to accommodate your pain level as best as possible, and the front desk assistants always answer the phone almost immediately. Really great facility, and they have locations all over the LA county.
