If you’re looking for a pediatric dentist that you can trust to take great care of your littles, Dr. Justin is your guy! Keep reading for details of our experience… During our lactation appointment with our newborn a tongue and lip tie were discovered. We were encouraged to come to Dr. Justin to get it looked at and have it corrected, not only for breastfeeding success but for her future development (mouth, teeth, speech etc). My husband and I didn’t know anything about ties. We researched a bit and had our daughter checked at her pediatrician who didn’t see an issue, but said we could check with a pediatric dentist for a second opinion. While we were hesitant to do any procedure with our baby being so young, we decided to go see Dr. Justin for a consultation to get more information. Arriving at the office, everyone was so kind and happy. They certainly made us feel at home and were very accommodating to us as we rolled in with both our newborn and toddler. Dr. Justin was extremely gentle and sweet as he examined our baby girl. Unfortunately, our daughter had both the tongue and lip tie and a frenectomy procedure was recommended to correct it. Coming in to this only having brief google research, we had lots of questions for him. He was patient and knowledgeable and gave us the confidence and reassurance that we needed to proceed. We came in a few days later to have the procedure done. It was very quick and minimally invasive. Yes, there were tears (probably more from me than her!), but our baby responded well and was quickly comforted with a bottle. We had a great experience with Dr. Justin and the entire staff at Smile Republic! I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to find a dentist for their kiddos, especially if you have a newborn with any ties or restrictions in their mouth! Thank you, Dr. Justin!
