I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 2021. I underwent chemotherapy and as a result lost all of my hair. I went to Strut Hair looking at the real wigs but felt at the time it was too expensive. Later I found out my insurance covered up to $1000 in "cranial prosthesis". You need to use this terminology rather than "Wig" in order for insurance to cover it. If I knew what I know now, I would of purchased the real hair wig rather than the multiple synthetic wigs that I purchased. I basically spent the same amount when you add it up. It would of been nice to know this before I started purchasing wigs. Now, in 2024 I am cancer free. My hair has begun growing back much thicker and fuller, but is now in an awkward stage. I remembered that Strut also sold hair pieces, (pony tails, extensions, etc.) I went back and picked up a couple of cute pieces today and remembered I needed to post a review. They are always super helpful in there. It is best to have an appointment, so you get the full treatment. I recommend this place over all the other wig companies that I visited in the last 3 years.

I have been diagnosed with chronic pancreatitis, fairly mild so far except for the impact of malnourishment to my once-thick healthy hair, which now has bald spots, breakage, and thinning. My shoulder length auburn hair was my best feature and frequently commented on - I was devastated. I did some research and decided that a human hair topper would be the best solution and found a place that had great reviews. I ended up paying $4k (!!!) against my better judgement - it was a LOT of money for me. It is a very long story - the salon closed the day I picked up my hair topper. Sadly, it practically disintegrated within a few months of occasional wear, ending up thinner than my own hair! I was told it was not returnable. I recently begged my husband to let me try again, as my birthday, Mother's Day, and next Christmas present. ;) I ended up at Strut Hair Solutions in Solana Beach. Marisol helped me and found the perfect hair topper for me that did not require any extra work - no trimming or coloring! The other clients in the salon commented repeatedly how natural it looked. And even though I still believe it is a LOT of money, it was half the cost of the first one I bought that disintegrated within a few months. Hopefully the prices will come down as more women find that hair toppers can be a great solution to their partial hair loss.
