Thrive renovated our 1975 contractor's spec house, taking advantage of all the property's pluses and eliminating the minuses. After living here 18 months, I still marvel at the high level of comfort, functionality, and beauty that Thrive achieved. We interviewed several firms to renovate our very old farm house in Sonoma County and we are so glad we landed on Thrive and their sister company Builder's Studio ( They were incredible-- professional, knowledgeable, trustworthy and simply a pleasure to work with. They understood all the ins and outs of building in Sonoma County, and how to work with the zoning requirements. They respected our vision, the land, and the history of Freestone and Sonoma. They were very clear about budget and stuck to it--and they met all the deadlines even as the pandemic was closing things down right and left. I have done two other renovations in other parts of the country and couldn't believe how organized and on-time they were--including software to track everything (and make the process transparent); photos; recommendations, and plenty of notice for next steps and decisions. They even face-timed us with updates since we had to cancel our travel during COVID. I would work with them again in a second.
