I had a 60 min massage with Karl and it was the stuff of dreams. I have extremely painful knots in my upper body from an illness, and Karl made sure to first ask me questions and listen to me before starting to work on my shoulders. To me, spending an hour with Karl was as valuable, if not more, than the time I spend with many medical practitioners, as he made the effort to listen to me, see how my symptoms and pain were connected and focused on how to alleviate that pain. He even spent time after our appointment suggesting stretches and exercises I could do to prevent the knots from forming! 11/10, I am literally trying to go again tomorrow!

Every time I come to this area to camp in Salt Point I call Karl right away and book myself 90 mins with him. This is a must when visiting this magical area. After my long runs and cycling the coast Karl is what the doctor ordered for muscle recovery and a good nights sleep! He has a deep understanding of massage and enjoys helping people.

Karl at Birdsong was wonderful. He genuinely listened to me when I stated the parts of my body that hurt when we began the session. In the session, Karl worked patiently to find the hurt areas on my body and cared for them until they remembered what it was like to feel good again - his phrase, not mine. A massage with Karl is a truly wonderful experience. I would recommend Birdsong to anyone as they adventure through or stay in Mendonoma
