Money-saving tip: Ask to see the less expensive frames kept in the drawers. If you can find one you like, then you can save some money. Also, I just read a negative review by someone who complained that the doctor suggested she have bloodwork to test for Graves disease (hyperthyroidism). That's not something to complain about; that's the doctor doing her job. I had Graves when I was in my twenties, and I just wish an eye doctor had alerted me to that possible diagnosis. I suffered for more than a decade before I was finally diagnosed. And back then, it was not just a simple blood test.“

“I recently managed to partially sit on my glasses. Not enough to break them, but I popped a lens out. I popped it back in. but it wasn't exactly right. I'd seen good Yelp reviews for these guys, so I went in and explained what happened and asked if they could get it in better. I'm going to get new glasses, but not for a while, so these have to last me a while, and then I plan to use these for backups. They were very nice, and fixed it so that lens won't go anywhere. I took one of their cards and they're first on my list when it comes to getting a new pair.“

I am a Nurse Practitioner for 30 years and have never had an an Optometrist take the extra time to so thoroughly exam and test my eyes for conditions in my family history like glaucoma, cataracts and retinal detachment. “I accidentally sat on my glasses. I drove one mile from my house to the Porter Ranch Walmart Optometry dept. I walked in an sat down where the girl employee was sitting. I told her that I sat on my glasses and badly bent the frames.. She took them into the back room and came out one minute later and my glasses were perfectly straight. NO CHARGE. Very nice friendly girl. Thank you. 5 Stars.“

I was greeted and acknowledged as soon as I entered :) Staff member explained to me what we would be doing today, she informed me of what my insurance covered and also of my co-pays , she made everything (in financial perspective) very clear and i felt comfortable proceeding with the appointment. I found out the glasses I purchased at another facility and found out weren't transitional lenses like I paid but fortunately my eye sight wasn't terribly compromised. I was able to purchase bifocals (Medical) they don't cover transitional lenses but it better to have the old fashioned glasses and see.“
