About Willowick Golf Course
Willowick Golf Course, located in Santa Ana 5 miles west of Disneyland, is the oldest 18-hole public golf course in Orange County. It is known for its suitability for both beginners and professionals, with an average round duration of under 4 hours. The course offers two sets of tees, a grass driving range, three practice putting greens, a pro shop with various products, a PGA Class A professional on staff, and affordable green fees. Recently, Willowick has expanded to include a 5,000 square-foot full-service bar and restaurant, serving American-bistro fare and imported beer, with outside seating available. The atmosphere is enjoyable and suitable for those who prefer a relaxed, fun experience. Customer service has been noted as good, particularly in the pro shop and restaurant. There have been some complaints about the maintenance of the course, with reports of dirt patches on the tee boxes and fairways. The grass driving range has also faced issues, with many areas showing dirt and sand. However, there have been improvements, as some players have noticed better-maintained fairways and a cleaner environment. Despite ongoing challenges, such as bumpy cart paths and unfilled bunkers, the course is still considered a hidden gem with good value for the price.
I love this golf course...friendly employee..
We love the Wick and the amazing transformation of the course back and better than what it was when we were kids.
I ain't lying golfers, come check it out. The earlier the better.
I recently picked up golfing again & this has been my favorite course so far. I grew up playing soccer next door at Spurgeon and never knew this existed. It has a mellow & nostalgic feel from the get go. My brother & I loved it. Best golfing day for me thus far. I had so much fun.
