Let me start by saying I love how my hair turned out, hair and Francisco did a great job on it. However, I do feel myself, my daughter, and my friend were overcharged though- let me explain why. I was approx. $375 for medium length hair for a partial highlight and cut, my daughter was $300 for the same service, and my friend was $400 for a full highlight on long hair. Normally, these are not bad prices... if I was in a nice salon. This salon is...not nice. It's not clean, and the bathrooms are abysmal. There was a damp, half roll of toilet paper, no seat covers, and worst of all (to me anyway) NO SOAP. I mean no soap ANYWHERE. The floors in the salon were sticky underfoot, and an ancient Chihuahua lies comatose on a rather smelly dog bed. Having to endure 6-7 hours in this salon was not pleasant to say the least, and it certainly was not relaxing. Especially because the entire reason I was willing to go to a "no frills salon" was because of the single $ posted on Yelp by Yelp users. Maybe it's because I don't look Hispanic (my maiden name is Nuñez so don't call me Karen), but whatever the reason, I was charged more along the lines of $$-$$$. Like I said- if this salon has even just been thoroughly cleaned and stocked with NECESSARY ITEMS in the bathroom like DRY TOILET PAPER AND SOAP, I would be leaving a far better review- even with a bit of sticker shock. So if you decide to go here, bring your own soap, tp, seat cover, and air freshener to counter the strong dog smell, and to face the bathroom.
