Learn from our mistake. Do your homework first. My husband and I elected to go to them to reduce our credit card debt to avoid filing bankruptcy. What we discovered later is that our creditors would have dealt with us directly to settle the debt. This organization is a boiler-room with disorganization that only makes your situation worse. You are not dealing with financial advisors that have any legal background, you are dealer with telemarketers that have a quota to make and they will promise you anything to get your business. Two years later and thousands of dollars later, we are back to Square #1 after being sued for two of the credit card accounts. We are now working directly with our creditors and avoiding bankruptcy, but it has cost us much more in the long-run. This company needs to be investigated.

I really didn't understand how this type of program worked before I reached out to Debtmerica. Their consultant listened to my situation and was quickly able to tell me realistically how this works. It's not for everyone, but it was definitely for me. I was behind on bills, my credit was getting worse and worse and I was drowning.
