About Hobb’s Grove
Hobb's Grove is a great place for a scare and a great time, loved for its awesome and professional actors who do an amazing job. Visitors recommend it for family trips and date nights, with many making it a yearly tradition. The attractions, including a haunted house, a forest, and a hayride, are both scary and entertaining. The hayride line moves fast and is loved for entertainment. Some note that on busy nights, groups can get too close together in the house, which can lessen the scare, suggesting a bit more separation would improve the experience. The service is rated highly, from the attractions down to the food and photo shoot team. The center area offers good food, with especially great ice cream and cookies, as well as kettle corn. There are also speakeasies like 'The Blind Tiger' and 'The Wake,' which are really cool and offer special Halloween drinks, though some find them a bit expensive. The atmosphere is friendly, complete with a bonfire and lights. Security is appreciated for being everywhere and maintaining a safe environment. Overall, it is a place people love and will keep coming back to, worth the money for the excitement, costumes, and realistic scares.
It was the best first experience for a haunted house ever. We screamed so much we had to stop and catch our breathes. Also they had a dance floor. The DJ was DJ Jabone was really epic he actually hopped off stage at the end to personally great me and he let me take a picture with him it was so cool. Also he gave us a token to the comedy show which was really funny too. Just overall an amazing fun night wish it didn’t have to end. Will definitely be back and highly recommend to anyone trying to enjoy the Halloween vibes.
10/10 service for everything, from the attractions, to the food, all the way down to the photo shoot team, everyone and everything was so professional, I had recently went to to Planet Pumpkin in Fresno and this place was like Disney land compared to the fair, I recommend it for the family, for the date nights, make the stop at Hobb's Grove, you won't regret it!!
First the notsogood: We knew it was a Saturday and it was going to be busy, so I don't get the people who complain about the lines. The Hayride line went really fast. But the Grange (House and Forest). It sucks to catch up to the group in front of you and get caught from behind, so the actors are stuck with a bunch of people in their area. We got stuck in the last few rooms of the house waiting to get out. The woman who let us in was just waiting like 10 seconds and sent in the next group, even if there were like 8 people in that group. Then she sent in a quicker group. At least in the forest they tell you it's okay to pass the slower group. I would rather stand in line longer so we could have more separation in the house. What's another 20 minutes on a busy weekend if the inside scare is going to be better? NOW THE GREAT: The actors are so good!! We come pretty much every year, and sometimes the path doesn't change but the scenes do and the actors do, and it was both scary and entertaining. Loved the Hayride for entertainment. The speakeasy's are really cool. The 'Blind Tiger' and the 'Wake.' If you go to the wake they have special drinks for Halloween. A bit expensive but that's just how it is. We loved the bloody drink and the pumpkin drink, so try those. The Blind Tiger is the BEST. Jake the bartender is sassy and funny and always in a mood (as his character) so we love him. I do wish the drinks were a little bit heavier of a pour for the money ($15 for even a vodka red bull). Then you meet the owner of the Blind Tiger, some mafia type in old school suit and he is hilarious. He made fun of the people in our group and we watched him move around other groups. They were also laughing (one guy started crying with laughter) so much and we never heard the owner repeat any jokes. He should have a Netflix speacial. The food is always good in the center area, the ice cream and cookies are especially great. What we really appreciated was the security. They're everywhere but kind of behind the scenes, but they quickly talked to a group in line that needed some gentle reminders how to act in public. It's always a great great time and we'll keep coming back.
