I am a landscape contractor, I have a few hedge trimmers that I bring to Walton's every year for sharpening. The service is great, turn-around time is fast, and they have very interesting artifacts, cutting instruments and woodwork craftsmanship on display. Hours of operation are also very convenient, they open at 7am and stay open until 5 pm!

I have a lot of knives, inherited and purchased. I just took my Global chef and paring knives, an Opinel paring and a French chefs knife that belonged to my Mom to Waltons. They were in bad shape after years of use and I'm not great at sharpening. When I picked them up 24 hours later I was fortunate enough to be able to chat with Darren Walton. Not only did he restore my knives to razor sharpness for very reasonable cost, but I enjoyed his conversation about the finer points of sharpening a knife. And bonus, his store smells like my grandfathers woodworking shop. Full of hand tools and awls, saws and everything you might need for working with bladed tools. I am a fan!
