“I had a color "accident" -- bright pink totally inappropriate for my age or my upcoming work trip Back East. Went to Mia in distress for a corrective color consult. Her advice was to wait for it to fade. It did! She clearly knows her stuff, how hair reacts, different types of hair and dye... In the end, I didn't need corrective color. Mia steered me right, and earned my respect and appreciation for her skills and ethics. I'd go back in a heartbeat. But I think I'll stay away from hair color for a while. :)“

She has been cutting, coloring and styling my hair for years, and now cuts my daughter and son's hair as well. After a visit to her salon, I often get asked who cuts my hair or who colors my hair. She is very selective about the products she uses, so you can trust that they are safe, including the straightening/relaxing treatment she uses. She is genuine and caring. You should definitely go see Redd. Once you do, you won't go to anyone else.“

“Rebecca is wonderful. She did my hair and makeup for my wedding and it was perfect. I sent a few inspo photos and asked to look like myself, but a little better. The result was lovely natural curls in my hair with lovely hairpins, and a natural, fresh faced almost no-make-up make-up look that lasted all day and night. I think the natural look takes a lot of skill, there's nowhere to hide with that, and Rebecca really excelled. She chose the perfect colors, and was so lovely to work with. Highly recommend.“

“Alex is a lovely person and did a great job cutting my hair. I have long wavy hair and not every stylist can get the layering right. Alex was kind, careful and attentive, asking specific questions about how much I wanted trimmed, and how much layering to add. I also asked her for some product recommendations since my hair can be dry and she gave me some helpful suggestions. This photo is from the next day after my haircut, after a rinse and conditioning to refresh it.“

“I highly recommend Sabita for haircuts! I have a very technical short bob with bangs and she nails it every time. It is not an easy cut to do, especially with my cowlicks. It is so nice to be able to sit back and relax and know that I am in good hands. I started seeing her when she was at Supercuts and was panicked when they suddenly closed a few months ago, and I thought surely I'd have to find someone new. So thankful that she put up a note outside with her contact info! Now it's an even more enjoyable experience in her own space in Sola Salons. I understand that she offers more services, like color, that I don't get, but I'm sure she's great at everything she does!“

Lastly, I know it should not matter that much but I always enjoyed chatting with Janet during my haircuts. Janet is an excellent hair stylist who I can not recommend enough!“

“I've been a client of Cynthia Black for several years and highly recommend her. She's a very talented hair colorist and stylist and is a warm, fun and friendly person. Cynthia is the owner of the Phoenix Rising Salon, newly reopened after the Covid hair salon closures. Cynthia asks for your hair color and style goals prior to her service and will provide her feedback before and during the appointment. This salon is practicing physical distancing and health safety protocols. Styling chairs are covered with disposable covers for each client, an air filter is in use at her chair, temperatures are taken, and chairs are set up outside for arriving clients. I had only a hair cut today after 6-1/2 months (last appointment was in February!) so that I could consult with Cynthia on how to colorize my new grey hair growth without covering completely. We have a strategy for my next visit. Thanks Cynthia!“

Not only is she incredibly professional and knowledgeable on her craft but she saw my 30 inch long mixed chick hair and knew exactly what to do with it after speaking with me for a few minutes and even better, she has a plan going forward to get my tresses to where I want them. She will treat your hair like a canvas and she is truly an Artist. I want her to be my stylist until she retires. Let me tell you, I got compliments EVERYWHERE! In the salon, on the street while walking back to my car, and in every place I went afterwards to run an errand. Not going to lie it made me feel special. I wish I could give more stars. “Lisa has a beautiful, independent salon where she gives wonderful cuts! I found Lisa after my stylist moved out of the area during covid and I am so happy I did! My haircuts grow out beautifully and her pricing is reasonable. I have started taking my daughters to her as well. If you’re lucky, you might even get to visit with her very friendly puppy.“

“I was looking for a shop that was first Black owned and operated. I met her May 4, 2022 she instantly noticed the condition of my hair. She said you have long hair but you want it to be healthy. So true, she offered me a trim I accepted.May 4, 2023 my hair hair began to improve and thicken up. I wasn't getting regular trims.I appreciated that she cared about the appearance of her shop. It was fine when i first walked in the first day. I came back and noticed she transformed her shop new tiles on the floor, nice wall painting. I had to let her know i noticed.
