Had the black screen of death, called George, set up a time to drop it off and pick it up. He fixed the problem and gave me tips on what to do from there on out to help the pc run smoother and not have it seize up again. Haven’t had an issue since.
I called him and explained my problem. He could've had me bring it in and charged me, but he told me what to do over the phone since it was minor. If I ever need work done he'll be my "computer man".
I have an old Compaq XP machine that I salvaged from an electronic dump over 10 years ago. It has served me well, hosting a lot of finished (and in progress) projects, but one day it went into an infinite bootloop (that i wasn't able to fix myself this time using the recovery cd) I called 2 places: one didn't do older hardware and the other tried to convince me it's useless; to just have them pull my data and sell me a new computer (they didn't even look at it)So I brought it to George at CompuTreat and not only did he fix my PC in a day, but he gave me a bigger hard drive!
