About Zanker Landscape Materials
Zanker Landscape Materials is a one-stop source for landscaping needs, catering to everyone from casual gardeners to high-end landscapers. The business offers an extensive selection of recycled and native mulch, barks, rocks, and soils. It is located adjacent to the GreenWaste Zanker Resource Recovery Facility, making it convenient for customers to dump trash and pick up new materials. The service is often described as stellar, with very reasonable pricing for materials. Workers are very helpful in explaining different products and assisting with the process. The facility itself is super clean and well-kept. For obtaining materials, customers need an open-bed truck or trailer, as workers use machines to scoop the materials in. Some customers note the location can be a little confusing to get to, as it looks like you are heading into the landfill and the entrance is a bit vague. The lot is shared with the recycling center, so there are lots of trucks coming and going, and vehicles will likely get dirty. It is advised to call for accurate delivery pricing, as online information may not be up to date. Delivery services are available and can be a reasonable option. The experience is generally great, with many customers planning to return for their landscape material needs.
I was in need of gorilla hair mulhc. Their pricing was very reasoanable except delivery charge seens online was a bit on the high side . Hence I got uhaul truck got there asked how much I can fit ( 2 cubic-yrd) whereas I was in need of 10 cubic-yrd. The good news their local truck would be able to delivery for a lot reasonable price. Overall I ended up renting heir local truck for delivery where I also added 1 cubic yard of organic compost . Long story short, if you call and get your pricing, their service is stellar, if you try going up there to pikc up the stuff, you need open trailer , and enterance is abit vague and looks insdutruius and the lot is shared with recycling facility I am makring down 1 star due to fact that their online pricing for delivery was not up to date :)
Just picked up some veggie blend organic soil for my home garden today. I purchased 1 cubic yard for about $65, it looks and feels like great quality soil! This place can be a little confusing to get to. It looks like you are heading into the landfill but will soon see signs for landscape material at site 1. My 3 year old son loved our visit here because it's right next to the waste management and recycling center. There are lots of trucks coming and going and your car and tires will likely get dirty. To obtain materials You need an open bed truck and they will use their machines to scoop the materials in. The workers were very helpful in explaining the different soils to me to make sure I chose the right one. They helped with the process and navigating the site. A great experience. I will come again for my landscape material needs.
The Good:Many products (mulches, aggregates) made from materials recycled on site--Better for the environment--No extra transport to distributors--Great pricesThe Bad:Random hours. I try to combine trips by dropping off C&D Debris and picking up landscape materials. The drop off works because the landfill sticks to the posted hours, but half the time the landscape material gate is closed. Like random Saturdays, like the morning the day before Thanksgiving, like when it rains, like 3:15 pm when one Web site says 4:00 pm and the other 3:30. Plan your trips around lunchtime weekdays and ALWAYS call before you go.
