Just joined a week ago. Had previously used "boutique" gyms like Orange Theory and F54 but found their operating hours incompatible with my work and family schedule.
Things I like at the YMCA on Alameda: - great value. - two pools, equipment everywhere, nice facility - all staff have been helpful and friendly - family oriented - extensive hours including nights and weekends - can bring my children to workouts

I had a good experience with the facilities at the Central YMCA. I took a swim in the heated indoor pool early on Saturday morning. It was a fantastic way to begin the day. By using the online pool schedule on the YMCA website, I was able to monitor the date and time. It was very easy to use. The women's lockers are in good condition and sturdy. Attending the Central YMCA is beneficial due to the weight and workout gym, Racketball room, and Basketball court being facilities that can be utilized for your daily lifestyle.

I just signed up for membership this morning. I was greeted with a very personal hello and a warm smile. Jill was personable, friendly and knowledgeable, and made me feel very welcomed. She was able to help me navigate the process of becoming a member for the first time. Jill was able to multitask with other members and signing me up. She seems to be a wonderful asset to this location! Thank you so much for taking the time to introduce me to the YMCA!
