A couple of years ago, I was a new student of TCM herbology and was trying to buy herbs for a few formulas but, was having a horribly difficult time with it. You see, I can't speak Chinese nor Vietnamese so, couldn't properly ask for the herbs I needed. I had visited several stores but, no one would help me. Then, I walked into Vinh Quang - Chinese Herb and Ginseng. I wish I had written down the lady's name as she was extremely patient with me. I had a list of over 20 herbs but, she still sat down with me and went over each herb, taught me the Pinyin name, and then wrote it down in Chinese on my list so I'd have it handy. Then, she patiently weighed each herb and wrapped it up for me, adding the Pinyin name so I'd know what it was. I'll always remember her kindness.

We came here in search for a special herbal recipe, and we were told this place is legit. I grew up drinking herbal soup. My grandmother used to make them all the time. I am not sure if he was the owner, but he was very kind to share his wealth of knowledge considering we had a few questions before finalizing our purchase. I think the saving grace here was we didn't have to drive all the way to Chinatown in San Francisco, find parking and wait a long line to even talk to the herbal doctors. We lucked out and came in when there wasn't too many patrons, but once we left, they were starting to get real busy. If you're looking for herbal remedies, Vinh Quang has everything you need with excellent service. Cheers!

Very nice Chinese herb store. Located under the Dynasty restaurant, it can be easy to miss. Use the same entrance you would use for Dynasty or Eastwest Bank.

Large selection or dried herbs, lotions and other home remedies on the floor.

The centerpieces of the store is the herb mixing counter. Bring you own recipes or visit the on site Chinese herbal doctor. They will set you up with as many batches of herbal medicine as you request.

The store is always well staffed and friendly. The owners are behind the herb mixing counter. They know their customers by name.
Prices are reasonable for the products you are buying.
