Review for Balayage and haircut by sherbeautystudio I was able to get my mommy makeover literally days before my baby girls arrival . Super thankful to Sherry and her lovely pink studio for hooking me up with an overdue haircut, balayage and therapy/venting session . I'm super satisfied with the outcome and left with shampoo / conditioner to pro long the life and color of my new hair . For some added context my hair isn't regular hair lol what I mean by that is I have super thick and coarse hair ( think of horse mane ) . But seriously though my hair is thick and weighted it's also pretty straight with some waves so when cutting into it you have to know what your doing cause it can easily look choppy & I'm grateful Sher killed it ! My hair cut has some light layers and face framing and doesn't look chopped at all . The vibe is always good with sherry she's super mellow and easy to talk to ! 10/10 experience I would recommend going to her .

Avoid Hair by Jackeboo, she did a poor job at dyeing my blonde hair to solid brown, such a simple task yet she couldn't give the results, she charged high prices for her assistant to do 85% of the work, I hesitated with doing semi or permanent color and she suggested permanent I said fine as long as it doesn't wash off and I get no red tones, I washed my hair TWICE after the service and within 2 weeks, well my hair washed off and I have ugly highlights peaking through and my brown has a red tone. I asked for a partial refund because 1. I did not get what I asked for 2. I can't ever go blonde again like I planned to in the winter, I was fine with a semi-permanent brown if she couldn't do the color I was asking for 3. Why should a customer pay for shitty work I was very respectful at all times and said partial refund was fine since I wanted to be respectful as I know she spent time on it and I didn't want to be her next Instagram post; as I did see her blast a customer who was her "friend" for canceling on her and crying on a video saying she needs to pay her bills, etc. (a red flag I ignored) the whole service she was just ranting to her assistant and being unprofessional. she then said she doesn't do refunds but she can fix it, I then said no because I didn't want further damage and I'm a busy bee and a partial refund would be more convenient for both of us, all she did was like my message and continued to post without a care in the world, I then reconsidered and said fine why not can you just fix it, and she blocked me right after. That's a very ugly way to treat paying customers but it just shows how money hungry people can be. I would have not even cared about a refund at the end of the day if she could've replied nicely, like sure everyone makes mistakes but those attitudes are very ugly. She Should've showed me that exact behavior when charging $300 for a solid brown color Maybe then I would have reconsidered of booking with her. There's a reason she has a no refund policy and blocking customers like this. Be careful, she doesn't care about you or your hair just $$

Amalia (Love & Rooted) knows what she's doing. She took everything I said into consideration, acknowledging everything I asked for before my haircut. She also won points for giving me a realistic breakdown of what could be achieved with my hair texture. I wanted a LOT of volume, but she kindly let me know that the pictures I showed her were unrealistic for my straight and fine hair. She ended giving me a partial wolf cut, but cut the ends of my hair oval-shaped so that I wouldn't lose body. Amalia worked efficiently because she is experienced and knew exactly what she was doing! During our haircut I learned that she used to work at Tangerine, a salon I got a haircut at ~10+ years ago. It was great to learn that about her because that haircut I had at Tangerine was one of my favorites, and it felt like things came full circle knowing she used to work there! Overall I love my new haircut, the blowout, and the little conversations we had during the cut. Thanks Amalia!
