Worst of the worst!! We had to file a lawsuit. William Slade cost us $50,000 in over-tax charges because of sheer neglect and MISFILING. He also used FALSE information rather than information supplied by me and my bookkeeper. Now we have back tax fees to boot. We had to pay another $2000 to have our taxes amended by an excellent CPA, and we will get our tax return back eventually but it may take another year.

I don’t like suing people, but it was my bookkeeper that encouraged us to place a lawsuit because William Slade did nothing until it was too late, put false information, and made our taxes a complete mess. William Slade is so lazy and was all talk with zero...read full review

I have used Slade & Co for a couple of years now. In 2023 I learned that my 2022 taxes was not filed. I contacted them, and to be fair, they handled it promptly. Now, I have learned that they filed my 2022 taxes completely wrong. I have been trying to contact both Will and Victoria Joyce for a month now, with no response on how to resolve this. Emails, phone calls and voicemails go completely ignored. After reading some reviews, I can see that I am not the only customer to be ignored. Now with no response I am left to clean up the mess with no direction on how to do so, besides trying to find a more helpful CPA.

Just received a "note " from IRS that we owned an addition 3856.dollars. Hummm. Did I miss something that we pay accountants to prepare our taxes correctly???? Well Slade...actually Silvana...made a big mistake. The customer service is all about money. You cant look over your tax return until you pay up front!!!! We have to pay a penalty of 100 dollars because of Silvana's mistake. Tried calling but of course bankers hours. I would assume the firm would pay the 100 dollars....They should guarantee their results. In all my years of tax returns of professionals, this is the first time that a mistake was made. So I would not recommend this firm.
