Mother's Nest Home Care is amazing. The care I received was top tier. I wass suffering with severe nerve pain for months and the whole time I was cared for without a single complanit and I was never nagged if I wanted a new caregiver. Excellent service!
Okay, whoooaaa! I do not know what's up with the extended reviews below, but I had a great experience with this company. My dad was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, and so was immediately put on hospice. It was so fast, and we needed help right away. The facility he was in actually recommended Mother's Nest. ( I think because the owner worked at said facility years ago). This is actually what was appealing, the fact that Amelia had so much experience as a nurse and so we figured, hey, why not? We knew we'd need short term affordable care and the nurse who mentioned Amelia advised to call and mention her. Anyway, so we contacted Amelia right away and she was super sweet! You could tell that the business was family oriented, and less corporate feeling. I mean that works for some people, and not others. All I care about is getting good service and getting what I sign up for. A young caregiver (honestly, probably 20ish) BUT she was a CNA came to assist my dad that same night. She was very knowledgeable and skilled so that's what mattered. And then we had an older lady halfway into the care which was fine. The younger caregiver was actually more skilled, but the older lady connected more with dad. Both good though. Service lasted about 9 days, and yes there was a deposit for two weeks but we were refunded I think toward the one week mark of care ending. That was fine with us. Anyway, just my two cents on my experience.
I had searched for a home care agency for my mom, and was not having much luck. It seemed like everyone either had a super lengthy process, or were too expensive, or both. I stumbled upon Mother's Nest on a random Google search. I called, and the owner was very friendly, sweet, and overall willing to work with us. My mom needed 24/7 care right away, and within a day, we had two wonderful caregivers to assist her. They were competent, they were caring, and skilled. The company's immediate response saved us a ton of money, and futhermore, my mom received really good care. My sister and I coordinated care easily, even with her being the funder, me being the scheduler, etc. Basically, Mother's Nest made things easy for us, despite our family dynamic. This company is the type that could be overlooked given it's size and the fact that it is not franchised, etc. However, that's what we really liked....That it is a local, family owned company that truly serves its community. We didn't feel like just another name, or another check and I appreciate that. I highly recommend anyone interested in private duty care for their loved one. Thank you Amelia for setting up service promptly, for your flexbility, and compassion.
