I did all the research for my Aunt, from qualifying the contractor and asking for proof of work, reading all the reviews I could, and I even called them on the bad reviews they have. I am strong believer that everything can be resolved this is why I don't go based on a few 1-star reviews. You have to do your part as well as the person you are hiring. LAR does have the experience and has done some nice jobs this is why I choose this company form my Aunt. I did cross my fingers when my Aunt signed with them because I knew I would be held responsible LOL, From the beginning I explained to them that I would have to be involved due to the language barrier for my Aunt. Most of the communication was via email and when they visit the project, they always called me. The kitchen remodel took approximately 4 months for completion. I little long you might think well I have to be honest We are not SO EASY to work with, I WILL recommend you NOT to see to many options because you will keep changing you mind like we did. But for every time we asked for a change, they did it and were nice about it some changes caused us more money but they were understandable. We did encounter some bad moments with the tile but like I said everything can be fixed when you talk it out. They fixed the issues and always check with us before moving forward with anything else, just so that we were happy. The delays with the city are unbearable but they did warn us about the city being out of their control. There was a moment were I really didn't believe them that the inspection took so long so I got on the phone and call the city myself and Fortunately for LAR they told the truth! The Kitchen is supper beautiful my Aunt is happy with LAR and Sharon for resolving the issues and providing her great service.
I hired LAR to renovate my home. They completed the job within the specified time of completion and it looks fabulous. There were only a few minor touch ups that were needed after they completed the job, but they gladly fixed the issues in a timely fashion.
