Mel has been cutting my hair for 25 years. Old school barber who really knows what he's doing. Straight razor to clean up the back of your neck, scissors for the cutting. Great conversation too. He's knows the history of San Jose and Willow Glen since he's lived here forever.
" Do what you love and you'll never work a day in your life. " An all too familiar quote that we strive to live by right?Let me tell you Mel actually does this. He's been barbering for 50 years - an actual barber and not some homeboy that'll chat up his fellow barbers while pretending to cut your hair. He's the last bastion of an art that is fading away to a classier time.If you want not only a great haircut but fantastic conversation from a down to earth man then this is the place. I literally drive an hour just to get my hair cut by him. Thanks Mel !Service: Haircut
Life without Mel as our family's barber would not make sense. What you can expect from Mel is quality and personality. Mel will make you feel as if he has known you forever and is a good person, inside and out. If you want that overall "traditional barbershop" feel along with a nice classic cut, look no further. We thank Mel for always being so flexible with our crazy work schedules and for being a genuine person. But most importantly, thank you for keeping my fiancé fresh and so clean :)
