I've been going to Almaden Hair Illusions ever since I was in my 20's, and I was thankful to have found this place when I did. Alis (the owner) cuts my hair perfect every time. It's a good feeling to walk into a hair salon and not have to worry what the end result will be! Thank you!

Alis, the owner of the fabulous Almaden Hair Illusions in Almaden Valley, has been the one and only hair salon that I will ever go to and have been going to for the past 16 years. And why not? Almaden Hair Illusions is the definition of perfection when it comes to hair coloring and styling. Alis and her crew are talented, thoughtful and caring professionals who spend time with their clients. Not only do I trust Alis with my hair, I look forward to each and every visit. It's quality time well spent for myself and I actually feel like family there. I am a customer for life and I highly recommend Almaden Hair Illusions.

I don't think this is a good place for men to get hair cuts. Most men prefer good and inexpensive no nonsense cuts. I went in for a hair cut and the first thing I realized was that there were no prices posted (red flag #1). The place was almost empty during mid afternoon (red flag #2). At the end of my cut, the price was much more than I was expecting. The "stylist" that cut my hair is used to charging over $100 for a cut but gave me a discount. For the price, I could have gone to a fancy place where they serve coffee and complimentary hot towels! My advice - ask for the price first to prevent any surprises.
