I have been going here since they opened in SF Hayes Valley like 20 years ago. I worked in Civic Center so stumbled into their shop at its first location while on lunch. The Doctors take care of me and I can see perfect because of their dedication to making sure I get what is needed in my RX. Dr Tam is the best and puts up with my crazy personality. The staff at the shop is amazing and knows what looks good on you so you know you are getting the best frames for your style and face. Lastly, and most importantly…the selection and variety of frames is hands down the best I have ever seen at any shop in the US. Better than NYC, Miami, LA, Seattle, Dallas, Chicago….I travel… read full review

I've been going to Through the Hayes Optometry for over 8 years now, and their care and service have been exceptional.
Just recently, I stopped in for just a small frame adjustment, and they noticed that my lenses were scratched. Although my glasses were outside the lens warranty, they replaced my scratched lenses for free!
Even though I moved away recently, I'll still keep coming back because of their great customer service.
