We have gone to Willie Lui (owner at Silver Cuts) off and on for years. We may try other hairdressers on occasion, but we always return to Willie. His cuts are perfection and he can work with many textures of hair. He consistently does an excellent job and takes the time.

First time here and had a better experience than Dicks Barber shop on 20th and Geary. I'll start with the pros of this place. The wait time is very short! Not many people know about this spot, you usually only have one person in front of you. Willie was my barber and he's a pro at cutting with scissors. The cut was cheap, being charged 18$. There were not any specific cons with this place. My haircut wasn't the best, but definitely not the worst. I asked for a 1 on the sides and an inch trim off the top. He ended up asking me how I style my hair and cut from there, eyeballing it until it looked nice. The end product was good so I didn't mind him not giving me exactly what I asked for, but I know some people may want a specific cut, so make sure he does so. Overall this place is good if you just want a basic haircut (aka no fades etc.) and especially if you want to go for a longer hair style; that seems to be Willies speciality.

Willie is the best! He always gives me amazing haircuts that are exactly what I asked for. Just watch his fingers fly as he scissors off your hair. Marvel at how efficiently he snaps his comb from one hand to the other! And you will know that you are in the presence of a pro. I used to go to Rick's down the street but the last couple of haircuts they've given me were horrible. They didn't even listen to what I wanted and just did their own thing. Willie is different and takes care of you and takes the time to actually give you a good cut. He's not trying to get you out the door in 10 minutes so he can get to the next person in line like some other shops. He's also a good guy and a nice guy. And he charges a darn good, fair price.
