We love the vets at SPCA! A vet visit is around $110. Vaccinations are around $50 each. We've had situations where something has come up with our dog and they've just advised us over the phone free of charge. They even said "You can come in and pay $160 for an urgent visit but there isn't much we can do for the condition and will just send you home." In more urgent situations, it's been easy to get a same day appointment just with calling. I also like supporting their hospital since it's a non profit and proceeds go back to helping and saving animals.
Very nice staff and doctors! Called to book an appointment but thet were all booked out for the next couple of months. Just a week later gave me a call for a spot that opened up and I was able to get my puppy spayed there. They gave me clear instructions and guidance post surgery and the scar is very tiny, healing very nicely :)
I recently moved back to SF and I am so impressed by the level of compassion and understanding from Dr. Leung! Our dog is reactive to other dogs, but never people. She growled at him and we have never seen her at like this before, but he was very understanding and even suggested we see their in house behaviorist. He really wanted to ensure we had all the resources we needed to settle in!
