About Retro club tattoo
Retro Club Tattoo is a welcoming and clean studio with a cozy atmosphere. The artists are friendly, supportive, and passionate about their work. Morrigan, a talented artist, went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable experience for clients, taking the time to re-stencil multiple times to get the design just right. The shop has a unique style, with a focus on working with artists who specialize in specific styles. Guest artists, like the microrealism expert from Korea, are also available. With its user-friendly booking process, water and snacks available, and metered parking nearby, Retro Club Tattoo is a great choice for those looking for a positive and professional tattoo experience.
I came in yesterday to get a tattoo done by Morrigan (@oat.mililku on instagram) and had the best experience. I filled out her booking form (very user friendly) and she got back to me within a few days with an estimate and her availability. The shop itself is super cute and clean, and they have water/snacks for clients to consume throughout their appointment. She went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and was patient beyond belief. I took almost an hour to decide where I wanted to tattoo placed and she was extremely patient despite the fact that she had to re-stencil multiple times. During the tattooing process, she was constantly checking in and making sure I was comfortable. I had the best experience and would love to get more work done by her!Spark Notes: super cute/clean shop! Morrigan is awesome! I'd give her more than five stars if I could!
Retro Club is one of my favorite shops to go to. Everyone is super nice, supportive, and the artists are all stoked about one another's work (always cool to see).I've gotten work from both the shop's owner and one of the resident artists, and am super happy with everything I have. Lots of talented rotating guest artists. Definitely more of a "get something in this artist's style" than a "come in and they will do any style" shop (at least my experience), but super rad artists and a welcoming environment overall. 10/10.
10/10 recommend! Clean studio and friendly artists! Bonus are the two cute pups that hangout at the studio. The studio is located on a busy street so if you're like me and have anxiety with finding parking in SF then I highly recommend you to turn down a quiet neighborhood street for parking. The parking is metered (Monday to Saturday until 6PM) so make sure you pay. The artist I opted to have my small piece done by was a guest artist from Korea because i liked her microrealism art. She was very communicative and easy to work with. I sent her the design I liked and then we proceeded to set a date/put a deposit down. The whole process was so quick and smooth. The whole process took around 1 hour. I would def get another piece done by her again if she came back!
