MEIFEI is a small, long-standing business on Chestnut Street that provides great and reasonably-priced work, especially on dresses. The business owner is helpful, honest, and efficient, advising customers on fair prices and alternatives to minimize alterations. While the shop is not open every day and can be busy, customers can trust the quality of the work and the fair prices.
Truly a miracle worker. Would love to gate keep her work, but have to sing her praises. Mei is such a sweetheart and truly takes her time making sure you LOVE the fit of her tailoring. Over the years, she has repaired and altered several pairs of my vintage denim and skirts. Most recently she completely transformed a vintage suede leather skirt for me and it looks incredible. Will travel across the city to see her time and time again!
Meifei is awesome and always greets you with a smile. Top-notch alterations and fair prices. She tailored my wedding tuxedo and did a fantastic job. She even got rid of a stubborn stain free of charge which saved me a trip to the cleaner. Would recommend to anyone in need of quality tailoring service.
Mei Fei tailored both my wedding dress and my rehearsal dinner dress to absolute perfection. My gown was Maison Margiela with some very delicate sheer tulle paneling along the rib cage- I was worried that it would be impossible to take in. But Mei Fei did an impeccable job and both my dresses fit me like a dream on my day. She is so lovely and talented. Highly recommend.
