This was my first experience getting my haircut professionally in 8 years. I've been away from my clippers for a few weeks, and my hair was getting far too long for comfort. I went to May's shop on a whim, and was able to walk-in after she finished up her previous appointment. May was very communicative and clarified what I wanted upfront. The haircut was smooth, quick, and exactly what I was looking for. I must add that I really enjoyed my conversation with May. Overall, my experience was delightful so much so that I'm strongly considering coming back in the future rather than cutting my own hair. Thanks May!

I've been getting my hair cuts at May's for over 20 years and I've never been dissatisfied. It's a very small shop run by a single mother, and May is a charming person eager to please. I discovered this shop after getting my hair cut one time at a nearby shop on Geary, Rick's, and that was not a good experience. The hair cut was OK but the barbers were immediately uneasy toward me from the minute I entered, like it was a place for regulars only or only for members of a particular group. Or something. May's Barbershop is a great place to get a haircut. May is so friendly and I have been going to her for a while now for my haircuts. And the haircuts are really affordable for being such high quality. Try it, you won't regret it!Services: Scissor cut
