Walking in to Katsura, you're greeted with a wave of fresh air, so many vibrant plant babies to choose from. They also have a lovely selection of Japanese style pots and vases, some of them are so unique in form and design. The plants here are high-quality and reasonably priced. They have a little bit of everything. A wide selection healthy plants, from beautiful bonsais and orchids to both common and rare houseplants! Some of the really rare plants are not for sale and only for viewing. Katsura Garden is a peaceful spot to browse, and you'll likely leave with a new green friend!
If you’re looking for amazing plants, beautiful bonsais, and a place where you can actually ask questions, especially if you’re just starting your plant parent journe. I can’t recommend this spot enough! The staff is always incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and genuinely happy to help.
My sisters and I come here all the time, and it’s our go-to place for both home and office plants. We’ve never left disappointed. The best part is that after picking out your new little green friend, you can walk around Japantown, try some great Japanese food, and explore so much more. It’s always a great experience all around 🌿

I thoroughly enjoyed browsing the store, the bonsai trees and huge monsteras really caught my eye. Overall I'd say this spot is a bit more expensive than Home Depot or other nurseries, but definitely worth a visit if you're looking for something special.

The plants here are high-quality and reasonably priced, which is one of the reasons I keep coming back. I bought my first plant here several years ago, and it's still thriving. On my most recent visit, I picked up two lovely bamboo plants, both healthy and vibrant. For an 8 inch bamboo, it was ~$3. They've already brightened up my home, and I'm so pleased with how well they've been taken care of before I brought them home. The real highlight of the shop is the woman who runs it. She's always incredibly kind and helpful, and this time around was no different. I asked her a few questions about how to care for my bamboo, and she gave me simple, practical advice, like changing the water often and not being afraid to trim it when needed. Her passion for plants and her warm customer service really make shopping here a great experience. If you're in Japantown, definitely stop by Katsura Garden--it's a peaceful spot to browse, and you'll likely leave with a new green friend!
