Best facial I've ever had. Cynthia (the owner) was very professional and warm when it came to addressing my skin concerns. After I had a full understanding of what to expect I could fully relax and let her work her magic There is a deep consideration to the art of relaxation through heat, cold, aromatherapy, massage techniques, and the sequence of everything. This is not just a normal facial. The heated bed and arm massage makes this a feel like a whole body treatment. The intention behind this experience and understanding of simply what feels amazing is at a level no other service is matching. Especially for the price. I had a more extraction focused session but the prep beforehand and intentionality of every step along with her actual technique made the process as comfortable as it possibly could be. Then once that was out of the way I was essentially engulfed in special hot and cold techniques and revitalizing sensations. I am already so happy with the results and feel amazing. Her tranquil treatment room exuded serenity, providing the perfect setting for a relaxing and effective facial. Cynthia's consultation process was thorough yet not overwhelming. It was characterized by true interest and active listening, ensuring a personalized approach to addressing my skincare concerns. The Extended Facial (75 minutes), with its generous allocation of time for both treatment and massage, promised a comprehensive relaxation and revitalization session, and Cynthia delivered. Before beginning the treatment, Cynthia explained each step, allowing for relaxation without the need for hyper-vigilance or questions throughout the session. Her pre-treatment explanation, use of ample steam, and gentle yet effective technique made even extractions surprisingly easy. The treatment included touches like lavender-scented towels and massage that employed perfect balance to alleviate muscle tension and deepen relaxation. Another highlight of my Illuminata experience was Cynthia's commitment to client education and empowerment. She offered advice only when asked and avoided any pressure to purchase in-house products; in fact, she didn't try to sell me any products at all. When asked what she recommended I might alter to improve my skincare routine, her recommendations spanned a range of products available in stores from Rainbow to Nordstrom. Her refreshing approach contrasted starkly with past encounters at other businesses marked by aggressive upselling. Beyond a relaxing treatment experience, I value the long-term effects of any facial, and in this case, they exceed my hopes. A week post-treatment, my skin remains noticeably softer, hydrated, and free from adverse reactions, a testament to Cynthia's process and the products she used, which she formulates herself. Notably, Cynthia's response to my question of when I should return for my next appointment was equally refreshing to her lack of upselling products. Rather than attempting to pressure me into frequent visits, she recommended a seasonal cadence, something that aligns with both my skincare needs and budget considerations. In conclusion, my visit to Illuminata Skin Care was more than a simple treatment--it was a holistic wellness experience where Cynthia's expertise, relaxation, and tangible results converged to raise the bar for all future skincare experiences.
