About Herena Kim, DC-Japan Town
Herena Kim, DC-Japan Town is a chiropractor who has helped many patients find relief from various physical pains. Patients have praised her for her effective yet gentle methods, particularly for issues like lower back pain and neck discomfort. One satisfied patient mentioned that Dr. Kim quickly addresses pain and misalignment issues, leading to positive experiences since 2011. Another patient experienced severe back spasms and headaches but found relief after Dr. Kim was able to see her on a weekend. This patient’s husband also sought her help for chronic knee and hip pain from a basketball injury and found that after a fall resulting in rib and back pain, he was able to return to normal function with Dr. Kim's care. Dr. Kim is described as compassionate, professional, and knowledgeable, making her patients feel valued and understood. One first-time mom, who sought care for upper shoulder and lower back pain from parenting, appreciated Dr. Kim's outcome-oriented approach. She felt that Dr. Kim focused on diagnosing real problems rather than finding issues that weren't there. After receiving treatment and committing to home exercises, she experienced significant improvements, including relief from an old ankle injury. Dr. Kim spends an hour with each patient, providing thorough care unlike other chiropractic offices that offer only short appointments. Her transparent communication about the importance of home exercises complements the in-office treatment, leading to lasting benefits. Her patients trust her with any issue and highly recommend her to anyone seeking chiropractic care.
My family and I have been receiving care from Dr. Kim since 2011, and we've had only positive experiences, especially regarding lower back pain. Her methods are extremely effective yet gentle. She addresses pain and misalignment issues quickly, and also helps with overall alignment. Additionally, she is knowledgeable, professional, and kind. I highly recommend Dr. Kim.
We found Dr Kim by luck and I could not recommend her more. When my wife was having severe back spasms and headaches, Dr Kim was able to see her on a weekend - and help her mitigate the pain. Subsequently I began to see her as well to help with both chronic pain in my knee/hip and unexpected injuries that come up... She has been a huge help in treating my recurring knee and related hip pain from a basketball injury in my teens. More recently when I fell down a flight of stairs and had resulting rib and back pain, we focused on those areas and I am now pain free in both and we are back to treating my more chronic injuries. Overall, she is empathetic intelligent and amazingly good at finding areas that need help and work. I highly recommend her.
Dr. Kim is exceptional as a chiropractor and as a caretaker in general. I cannot recommend her enough, even if you think you might not need chiropractic care - if you see her for an assessment, she will give you a fair and honest thought about whether she can help you, and how. I am a 40 year-old first-time mom who came to her seeking care for ongoing pain and irritation in the upper shoulders and lower back from the "occupational injury" of being a parent. I'm active and exercise hard a few times a week but wanted to finally address my nagging issues that were chipping away at my quality of life. Dr. Kim was, from the start, compassionate, professional, and outcome-oriented, which I really appreciated. I felt that she wanted to diagnose real problems in my assessment rather than looking for problems that weren't there, and once she had pretty much resolved my initial issue (with my ongoing commitment to doing the "homework" exercises outside the office), she was able to give me amazing care of an old ankle injury that I acquired years ago, as well as another unrelated issue (xiphoid process spasms) that all other doctors had dismissed as an unavoidable side effect of postpartum life. She is very transparent about the fact that in-office treatment can only do so much, and that home exercises and stretching will greatly amplify the benefit of in-office work. She was right and I am so grateful that due to her practice and coaching, I honestly feel completely different about how I move my body outside of the medical office and even outside of the gym. I also do leave her office every time feeling better than when I walked in. Thank you, Dr. Kim!
