If you’re thinking of diving into (or already rock) short hair, please please see Chauntae. I avoided short hair expecting I couldn’t keep up with styling or maintenance. Never been the case with Chauntae’s cuts, which also grow out beautifully! She’s masterful shaping cuts to suit your hair texture & anatomy. Chauntae’s an all-around beautiful human keeping her slice of the city filled with art, community, & good vibes

Mari and Chauntae are the best. Habitat is one of my favorite places to go, and any excuse to get my hair trimmed by Mari is a privilege -she’s incredibly skilled and consistently dope.

I’ll never forget my first cut here. It came at one of the lowest points in my life, and I’ll always feel connected to that experience. There’s something special about this place & the people in it fr.

Whenever I leave I’m not just hyped on my cut, but genuinely juiced on life. As long as Mari and Chauntae are here, I’ll be coming back 4 life :)
