In search of a a yoga studio I could drop in and do some gentle yoga or vinyasa flow, I found Yoga Salinas. My experience with this yoga studio was straight forward from beginning to end. I signed up, followed the instructions in the email, and showed up. There's plenty of parking on the street or in the parking lot behind the yoga studio. Upon arrival I met Sherrie, who informed about where to setup and the props we'd be using for the class. They have all the props you need. Instruction during the class was clear and easy to follow. It was a very clean studio. Overall, the class was perfect for the level I was looking for, which was gentle yoga. It seems the class is made up of regulars, whom were very friendly and welcoming. I will be coming back when I'm in town. Thank you!
Was visiting my hometown and was so lucky to take class here for the first time. For one, I love practicing in a smaller homey cities like Salinas. It's such a tight knit community and the people, the vibe are very welcoming. Secondly, this studio is beautiful (unfortunately due to a flood) but everything is brand new and very well thought of and placed out. Clean, accessible, tastefully decorated. My only personal drawback is the props - since it's community based I wish there was a section for clean/used blocks and clean/used blankets to ensure no one else used before me or maybe offering wipes in the room as well for the blocks. Other than that the classes I took (Allison - yin yoga and Andrea - shakti yoga) were stellar!! Well informed instructors, pleasant voices and vibe, great sequencing, and spoke to the yoga of yoga :) Special shout out to Andrea for the fun shakti yoga class. Memorable and inspiring! I hope to visit again when I'm back in town.
Teachers are careful to guide students into safe and beneficial poses. There is no pressure to do anything that doesn't feel good. I am always calm, relaxed, and happy when I leave this beautiful studio.
