Heather is the best!
My husband suggested we look into a home water birth and a friend highly recommended Heather. After an almost 2-hour consultation to see if we would be a good fit for her and vice versa, it was an easy yes to move forward. As a first-time mom, Heather made me feel so validated and cared for whenever I had a concern or pregnancy symptom that alarmed me. She never once coerced me into taking any medications or any sort of remedy. She always presented me with a list of options and allowed me to make the choice. I decided to go the home birth route with my second pregnancy and choosing to go with Heather did not disappoint! She was referred to me from a friend, yet I still did my own research and interviewed a few other midwives before committing and I felt like she was the best fit.
Each prenatal visit was at least an hour long - she gave me time to ask my questions and never made me feel silly or brushed me off. Having no previous exposure to a home birth, I had a lot of questions yet she answered them all gracefully and in great detail - giving my the confidence I needed to believe in myself that I could do this and that it is safe.

I'm very pleased with the level of care my wife and daughter received from Heather as our midwife. I was nervous to have a home birth at first but after meeting Heather and watching the home birth classes and hearing her level of expertise, I knew we were in good hands. She did a wonderful job coaching me so that I could provide the best support for my wife during her home birth. It was a life changing experience and I'm very appreciative to Heather for her guidance.
