We had to call the other two companies several times to get someone to come out. Eddie provided a very detailed estimate and explained what he was going to do. We decided to go with Watsonville Roofing because of the professional way the request was handled and the attention to detail which the other 2 companies failed to do. Each evening before they left everything was cleaned as if no one had been there. We are so happy with the results and would highly recommend Watsonville Roofing to anyone looking for a roofer. “I want to let anyone interested know what kind of company they either are or possibly would be dealing with. Alameda Roofing. My brother-in-law and sister had their roof replaced (a LARGE house). When their house was virtually submerged in the recent Pajaro levy & subsequent flood. Alameda Roofing contacted them and aske if the could help. They showed up at their house with 7 guys & a trailer. The took all of the ruined furniture etc. out and disposed of it (with NO HELP FROM THE COUNTY OR STATE). They removed massive amounts of mud (disgusting mud) and 'junk' from the basement. I doubt that there's another company that would have even thought of a customer like they did. Just an idea of how incredibly awesome this company is. Oh, by the way, they did a FANTASTIC job on the room some time ago.“

“My 93-year-old dad hired Stars & Stripes Roofing to replace the roof on a double wide mobile home in Santa Cruz, CA because they had done several homes' roofs in the retirement park where Dad lives. My daughter got six price quotes. Their quote of $14,000 was not the lowest but within range of others (lowest was $11,000; highest was $16,900) but this quote included contingencies like replacing plywood (five sheets replaced) & adding two new vents. The lower quotes would have gone up with "extras" so my daughter preferred the "locked in price". He seems to know what is required to be within code & to be covered by supplier warranty. The roofing supply place (Landmark Solaris) hires them for repairs too he said. They started work 07/03/23, took 07/04 holiday off, & finished on 07/06. They arrived promptly around 8 am I think. Javier "Jay" did not require payment until they were done; e-mailed invoice. He came inside to explain what they found & fixed. My dad's prior roof was only 20 years old so that had not been a good investment but was only $2,000 back then. They were on the 2nd day working at a place kitty corner to my dad's when I left 07/20/23. The owner, John, parked his truck in the carport across the street & was observing. He seemed very impressed & thanked us for recommending them (John had to get $1,000 down payment back from another contractor he had initially hired that quoted significantly more). Roof labor costs over three times what it would cost in Wisconsin but Stars & Stripes Roofing is competitively priced with their local competitors. I cannot attest to how it holds up in weather yet but will update if there is anything to report. Dad's place gets very strong winds that shreds fabric canopies & leaves them dangling on the frame & blows a lot of debree through a chain link fenced (I covered it with a privacy screen fabric while I was there). There is not near enough rain usually but it does fall fast & furious sometimes.“
“Juan is a great owner and contractor. He helped us replace a roof in a rental house in Salinas. He is very good at the contract and follow through the project. His bid is very reasonable. He took pictures of all his works and documents it. I just need to review the final invoice and the photos for proving his work. It is a pleasure to work with him.“
