After some thought, I rescued a dog from the shelter for our daughter. I was apprehensive because my prior dog had a sudden unnecessary death. My faith in vets was quite low. That opinion changed today when I took the rescue to WesternU. Everyone made the dog and myself feel welcome and were kind. Crystal was the tech and she made the dog feel like he was the most special being in the world. She was pleasant, talkative and knowledgeable. Dr Greenberg was fantastic. She performed a very through exam on him and answered all questions. She even herself copied information on what I could do if my dog reversed sneezed. We were in great hands. I went here after a search to find an affordable dental cleaning for my dog. My regular vet estimated $2300, which floored me. Turns out Western U's Pet Health Clinic offers a yearly plan that includes said procedure for $525. This PAW (Preventative and Wellness) plan also includes all physical exams, vaccines, parasite testing, & routine lab work. There may be extra costs for unforeseen dentistry, such as extractions, etc., but this plan more than pays for itself immediately. Wish I had found this place earlier, but very glad I did so now! This is a long overdue review. I can’t say enough good things about WesternU. I first started coming here with my previous dog when she was about 6 years old—I only wish I had found them sooner in her life. She always received great care here for well visits, vaccines, and dental cleanings. Sadly she crossed the rainbow bridge last year at 13. I welcomed a new puppy in the last year and started her care here immediately with the puppy PAW plan and it has been just as wonderful.
