I've finally found a comfortable, small, convenient and incredibly friendly spot to work out. This is the only gym I've ever loved! In the past I didn't like the smell, the noise, and waiting for a machine to become available. The stressful congested lack of parking. The embarrassment of not knowing how to use equipment, and realizing people were watching me fail. Staring at my round red face in the mirror while trying to push myself, depressed the heck out of me. The upscale gyms were too snooty, and the budget friendly gyms looked like jail during recess time. I remember giving myself a pep talk, and going to the front of a class to be able to see the instructor. She asked me to move to the back because I was "confusing the other members" yeah I went out the back door actually and I never went back. I hated the ridiculous people who acted like cheesy car salesman "Hey Kimberly, are you ready to change your life?" Actually no, I really like my life. I have a great husband, sweet kids, 2 dogs, and 4 lovely chickens. I just wanted a chill spot to work out. Another warehouse box type gym had us all pass around a rubber yellow glob that represented 5 pounds of human fat. Then they wanted our credit card so we could enter the super duper fat burn challenge- ummm no thanks. Fat shaming is fun and all, but you're never going to see me again. I decided that there was NO gym for me. Life kicked me in the can a few years ago. I was in excellent shape in 2019. I walked 7 miles a day, and hiked on the weekends. Sometimes I'd lift weights at home but it was boring. Unfortunately I got really sick, and recovering has been a very long process. I was so down about losing so much: my strength, my balance, my flexibility, and my ability to fit into my favorite clothes. A friend who I really admire recommended the exercise coach and I made an appointment. What an amazing experience. I got a one on one meeting and tried out the fool proof pre set computerized equipment. No pressure, no lecture, no rubber fat. Every single staff member is incredibly friendly, highly educated and informed, empathetic, supportive, and they listen to my how and why. I have a private trainer at the moment, and when I'm sharing the space with another gym member, they are an absolute pleasure. Smiles, shared stories, and discussion of which machines are our favorite. I used to dread seeing people at the gym and now I look forward to this so much. I've been going for 4 weeks now and I'm feeling so much better. When I leave, my muscles feel warm but not fatigued, my energy is up, and I've got a permanent smile. It's only 20 minutes a session, so it's beyond convenient. They text me to remind me of my appointments, they talk about what MY goals are, they kindly and consistently remind me about my form, so I'm not hurting the next day. All of the anxiety and gymtimidation are gone. Please go check this place out, you get two sessions for free and you'll feel fantastic. There is zero pressure, it's not a challenge, or a gimmick. It's just an enjoyable workout, with awesome people to guide you. Feel free to tell them I sent you. They will treat you like royalty, I promise. Five stars aren't enough!

I've been dedicated to The Exercise Coach in Pleasanton for close to three years now, right from the time they first opened their doors. The 20-minute sessions, twice a week, have truly transformed my fitness journey. With a focus primarily on strength training complemented by some cardio, the results speak volumes. What sets this place apart for me is the emphasis on personal progress; I'm constantly challenging myself to surpass previous milestones rather than comparing with others. The staff at The Exercise Coach are not just friendly; they're genuinely warm and welcoming. Their encouragement and support have played a significant role in keeping me motivated throughout my fitness regimen. Additionally, it's worth noting that there's another branch in Livermore operated by the same wonderful team, which speaks volumes about their commitment to providing exceptional fitness experiences across different locations.

I have tried many programs and was really hesitant about another "fad", but I have been so very pleased with this place. I just love it here. The workout is really working for me. I go 3x a week and after so many years behind a desk, I'm starting to feel strong again. The workout is truly 20 minutes and the staff is very nice and accommodating. I have been going for 2 months now and my 80 year old mother just signed up. I am so glad I found this place. It is not inexpensive, but after seeing and feeling the results, it's been money well spent.
