I live in New York State and was the Power-of-Attorney for my cousin in a VA Hospital in California. Golden Hope was recommended to me, among other firms. I chose Golden Hope because of the credentials of it's founder and the types of services I wanted in a caregiver/companion for my cousin, who was like a brother to me. His family raised me from age 12.
I was able to interview the caregiver/companion online. I was only able to visit every quarter and I wanted her to get my cousin out of the VA unit, take him for lunch or shopping, and do his laundry. We sadly only had a short relationship with Golden Hope Services as they provided care for my dad. However, I write this review because, from the initial conversation through to sitting with one of their caregivers at my dad's deathbed, we could not have been more pleased. Everyone was professional, caring and went out of their way to make life easier for us. We could not have been more grateful to have them as our partners during this difficult time and would recommend them in a heartbeat to anyone who wants help in their home.
