“Scheduled an appointment for my first big tattoo with Matt (Cornfed). Matt did an amazing job with the design and I was stoked and nervous to get a tattoo of this size. He provided great customer service and walked me through the process of the tattoo from the line work, the shading, the color and importance of shading especially. People with tattoos have always told me once you get one, you’ll want more. I will definitely be coming back to continue my sleeve for my family! My first tattoo was a tribute tattoo for my mother in law who recently passed. I would recommend Matt and and Old Glory if you are looking for a traditional tattoo!“

“My wife and I spontaneously decided we wanted tattoos. We called and asked if they were available for a walk-in on a Sunday afternoon, and they were! Looking at us, they knew it was our first time ever getting tattoos. So they were very nice and polite! They offer free candy and water to keep your blood sugar up and stay hydrated. Matt was super helpful in designing our simple yet perfect letter/initial tattoos. He asked all the questions we wouldn’t think of as first timers! We felt very comfortable. Matt did my “T” tattoo and Isabella did my wife’s “D” tattoo. Both artists were thorough about sanitation and cleanliness. Their work and customer service were phenomenal. 10/10 would recommend and will be coming back soon! Thank you Matt and Isabella for making our first time experience worth it😊“

“Just got my recovery tattoo done at Cleopatra Ink in Costa Mesa and I had such a wonderful experience here. Everyone is super chill and my artist did an amazing job! He was quick and efficient and made sure I was comfortable the entire time! I am honored to be wearing this piece on my body forever! He ended up fixing a rose that I previously had and gotten for free and it needed to be fixed and he ended up making something I have hated on my body for years now into something beautiful ?“

“Blake is by far the best traditional style tattooer I know. My whole family goes to him! I've gotten several pieces done by him. Each tattoo has killer line work, vibrant colors, and heals quick without issue. Even my older tattoos still have great color! He is very professional and accommodating. If you have a vision he'll bring it to life. If you are unsure of exactly what you want he has a wide range of flash you can choose from.

The whole shop is super clean, friendly, and humorous. There is also a really cool art gallery in the front that always has some pretty rad stuff to look at.

It always feels like a risk when you go to a new shop which is why I can't recommend this place enough!“

I asked for a Dodgers tattoo and Spider took the time to learn what was important to me and developed the perfect design incorporating an aerial photo of Dodger Stadium. Spider's artistry, attention to detail, and steady hand were a privilege to behold. He even incorporated the stadium's iconic video boards, light standards, and outfield grass patterns. Spider is also a great guy who expertly and lovingly assisted my daughter when she experienced some anxiety while being served by another one of American Vintage's fine artists. The shop is clean, friendly, well-equipped, and the staff makes you feel like family.“
