Love, love, live Mike. I've only worked with Mike Sr. He landscaped my Los Angeles home (front and back) like a star. I had no vision. I didn't need it, Mike came with an amazing eye for beauty and that's exactly how it came out. I'm using him again at my Lakewood home -- can't wait to see how it comes out. Of all of the contractors I've used in my life, Mike is the only one I'm using twice! The attached photos are in the very beginning, the plants have grown in beautifully.
Mike Rodriguez, Sr. and his crew recently created two patio areas in my yard, using pavers I had around the property as pathways. The pavers used for the patios were irregular shapes and were beautifully set together, like a jigsaw puzzle. A real artist at work. Mike was helpful in terms of design ideas and color for the concrete between the pavers. I wish I had thought of this years ago. The only negative remark I would make is that the clean-up was not as perfect as some. Also, I would recommend that any client insist on working with Mike Rodriguez, Sr. and not Jr. Jr. did a big project for me five years ago and was clearly in over his head.
O Boy... BUYER BEWARE!!! If you do hire these cowboys, expect nothing but the worst. No need for me to lie about the work they did, I have pictures of the faulty work and what little invoicing and receipts they did not leave me with and more than willing to show you anything. They came in with no plan and started digging only to have made a big mess, way out of budget, and the father is a kook, left holes in my foundation, leaky pipes, and a really bad re-sodding. They did a bait and switch on me with fill dirt. It had large rocks and huge chunks of glass. No weed killer used as promised and no meme soil used what-so-ever.
