About A Breed Apart Dog Training
A Breed Apart Dog Training is a highly acclaimed dog training service that has earned the trust and admiration of its clients. Led by the skilled and passionate trainer, Sean Lunnon, the business has a reputation for exceeding expectations and providing exceptional results. The reviews highlight Sean's expertise in handling a wide range of dog-related challenges, from sensitive and reactive dogs to working breeds with behavioral issues. Clients have praised his ability to listen carefully, take detailed notes, and develop customized training plans that address the specific needs of each dog and its family. One client, a Doberman Pinscher rescue, consulted Sean to assist with a puppy who was struggling with typical Doberman behaviors, such as lack of impulse control, pulling, and jumping. Sean's approach was thoughtful and considerate, taking the puppy's special needs, including poor eyesight, into account when designing the training plan. The client was impressed by Sean's attentiveness and ability to address the puppy's health concerns as well. Another client, who had previously worked with Sean, sought his help again when faced with a new challenge. Their large, sensitive dog was to be introduced to a smaller dog belonging to their son and his girlfriend. Concerned about the potential for a confrontation, the family was relieved when Sean rearranged his schedule to provide in-home training and guidance on how to safely facilitate the introduction and manage the interactions between the two dogs. The client was thrilled with the outcome, noting that the dogs were now comfortably coexisting, and they were confident that they would become friends in the near future. The reviews consistently praise Sean's expertise, professionalism, and dedication to his craft. Clients have expressed their gratitude for his ability to tackle even the most daunting challenges and his commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of both the dogs and their families. A Breed Apart Dog Training is highly recommended for anyone seeking exceptional dog training services.
It truly is a privilege to write a review on a professional that takes such high pride and passion towards his craft, and is a true master of his art. I run a Doberman Pinscher rescue; we consulted and enrolled in Sean's services to assist with a Doberman Pinscher puppy who was with a foster family who had no experience with puppies of this breed. They were struggling as it was their first time dealing with typical unruly doberman puppy behavior (they're like baby sharks... if sharks lived on land and had no impulse control), lack of impulse, pulling, jumping, and most notably, fearfulness. Not only that, the puppy is also special needs (he is mostly blind in one eye, and the other doesn't see too well.. doesn't help with the fearfulness).Sean listened carefully and took notes of our concern; he also took the puppy's poor eyesight into consideration while coming up with a training plan. He was able to help the foster with most of the issues within one in-home training session. While Sean was there, he was also very attentive and noticed that the puppy was a bit flaky and itchy; he informed me of such, and made some food recommendations. As a rescue, I appreciate this very much, as there are a lot of dogs in our care, and sometimes its easy for us to miss details like that.In closing, we are a breed-specific rescue, and I personally own 3 personal Dobermans, two of which are behavioral. We are aware of the reality that not all trainers are equipped to deal with working breeds and even fewer are qualified to handle behavioral modification. So when we choose trainers, we are very careful. After having a long phone call with Sean (and a good conversation about training methods and tools), I was confident Sean has the tools and knowledge to work with this breed as well as assist with behavioral issues that may come up.
It truly is a privilege to write a review on a professional that takes such high pride and passion towards his craft, and is a true master of his art. I cannot possibly express how grateful and impressed I am and appreciative of everything that Sean Lunnon did for my family. Sean assisted us a few years ago with a problem we were having with our dog whose extremely sensitive to noises or other dogs and a new challenge came up that we needed help with and again he embraced the challenge and exceeded our expectations. My son who has been living away from home for a few years came to visit us with his girlfriend and they have a very sweet, small dog. Their dog is a 10 pound dog and our dog is a 57 pound dog that is extremely sensitive towards other dogs. Frankly speaking, we were petrified of a confrontation between the two dogs where more than likely the larger dog could inflict a serious or fatal wound to the smaller dog even if the intention was to only give it a warning. Just the difference in size would be overwhelming. On top of fearing for the dogs we feared that the consequence of such a confrontation would impact our relationship with our son and his girlfriend, and that would be irreparable. After a conversation with Sean, he juggled his schedule to make sure he could be at our home to teach us how to control the dogs, to facilitate the introduction of the dogs, and to show us how to safely separate and interact the dogs within the house to avoid any confrontation and allow us to enjoy our family. Sean exceeded our expectations and the dogs are getting along very well. While they are not yet close friends because it'll take some more time, we are very comfortably coexisting in the home, and the dogs are not even paying attention to each other, and our family is together. I can say with total confidence that within another couple of weeks the dogs will absolutely be friends. Because we are taking it slowly and safely and you cannot put a price on that and we highly recommend Sean with no hesitation to assist you with any challenges you may be having with your dogs. He is the absolute best.
